Homecoming Week

Last week was Homecoming Week at our school and boy did we have a fun week!  Everyone did such a great job dressing up and showing school spirit.  Here we are on all 5 dress up days.

Monday was 80's/Nerd Day.  We had some cool 80's girlies and a bunch of nerds!
Look at that 80's hair!!
Nerd alert

Tuesday was Costume/Red Neck Day.  It was a great way to use an old Halloween costume again or wear some scrubby clothes.  Tuesday was the day I remembered I bought a selfie stick to use for our group pictures- We had a little fun with it :)  Our costumes included a cheerleader, Rapunzel, Anna, Steelers football player, Captain America, Super Girl, Doc McStuffins, a farmer, and a cowgirl.
This first grade class loves taking silly pictures
Wednesday was Pajama/Neon Day and all 10 of us wore our pajamas!  We sure had a comfy, cozy day.

Doing our reading centers in our jammies
The hard work continued even during Homecoming Week
We made a quick, cute little apple craft in the middle of the week also.  I gave the students the pieces to cut out and they could assemble any way they wanted to.  We have a row of 9 individually unique apples.

Thursday was Cross Dress/Twin Day.  I slacked off this day and forgot to take a picture!  We did have a set of twins in our room, and a couple of kiddos that had twins in other classes.

Friday was the culmination of our crazy week with the craziest of all the days!  We all wore red, white, and blue to show our Patriot Pride.  The theme of our Homecoming Parade was Board Games and the Kindergarten/1st grade game was Hungry, Hungry Hippos.
Almost time for the parade, bur first- Let us take a selfie...

From year to year I tend to wear the same outfits for these dress up days and every single year I can't help but laugh at myself!  I love seeing how creative the firsties and their parents can be during the week.  I think we should have a dress up day or 2 every month!  Thanks for checking in on us, we'll be back next week.
