Whole School Project

The National Honor Society is doing a whole school project for their community work.  We had them tie in their project with our last 2 character traits for Character Counts- caring and citizenship.  Here we are listening and learning what it means to be caring and a good citizen.

Each high school student is partnered with an elementary student.  Together they created a valentine for a resident at the nursing home.  Here are some pictures of us with our buddies.
Justin and Bailey

Emily and Kailey

Gabriel and Cory

MaKaylah and Alexis

Cole and Austin

Sydney and Allie

Ella and Sam

After our valentine's were made the 1st graders practiced their reading with the high schoolers.  Then the older kids got to read to us.  This might have been our favorite part!

Next week, we are all loading up the buses and heading to the nursing home.  There the partners will hand deliver their valentines and sing a song for the residents.
